That thing in our backyard!!!

We've had lots of neighbors come to our yard now and ask "What in the world are you building back here"? One neighbor jokingly asked if it was a fallout shelter. LOL! Joshua's dad came to stay with us for the weekend and help Joshua get alot of the treehouse built, so here are updated pics.

Here it is with 2 walls up!

And a side view...the door will be on that left side if you're facing it.

My cousin, my father-in-law, and Joshua putting the last wall up

Yeah! So there will be a huge window in the front that they can crawl in and out of. And Josh isn't done, oh no, he plans to put a loft over the top of that structure! And then will come siding, shingles, and entrances and exits. Phew! Also will be a railing and netting to keep my little boys from falling off this huge monster!

Many thanks to the friends and family (won't put any names) that have helped with the building of this! And to Seth and Nathan...they've done alot of gophering and loved every minute. :)

We leave in a couple days to go to Florida! I'm really excited, but I sure am dreading that long trip there, especially since we just got back from there! I'm really looking forward to spending time with my friends and family! I miss you all so very much!

I will leave you with this! Take a look at this video and PLEASE put your vote in! You don't have to sign up for anything and you won't get any spam! This is the last day to vote, so put yours in!!!

Adoption, broken bones, and tree house

I have permission from my friend, Michelle, to share the link to her blog. Please pray for them, as she and her husband hope to travel for their first trip to meet their children within the next month or so. And then for Michelle and I,as we will leave a couple weeks after that, to bring them home! And pray that the transition for the kids is as smooth as possible. Michelle's link is below. Thanks ya'll!

I got my passport photos done a couple of days ago, and sent my passport renewal app in today! Yeah!

In other news, here's what we did yesterday...

Jared decided to do just one more back flip out of a tree,(after daddy said no) so that he could show his brothers that he could do it. It resulted in an ER trip and a broken foot. It's not a bad break...but no beach, or swimming, or parks. And we are headed to FL in a couple of weeks!!! 8(

And for those who have asked, here are updated pics of "Joshua's" tree house. :)

This is their trap door up underneath

And here's one from the side. He still plans to put the floor up, with a nice sized enclosure up top, and a 3 ft. deck with a railing around it. This project has become BIG! LOL!

Summer activities

Busy, busy time in our household lately! We'd hardly finished our school year, when the boys and I took an unexpected trip to Florida, and then brought an unexpected guest (my teenage cousin) back to our home for almost a month! We were able to help some friends out, and I'm loving the chance to spend time with my cousin!

My Honey is building the boys a tree house in the backyard, and he does not do things small. LOL! It's going to be a grand playset when he finally finishes it....they may never come inside to the main house! So he's been pretty busy between work and then coming home to try and get it finished so that the boys can enjoy it this summer.

The boys, my cousin, and I leave for Florida in 2 weeks! Boy, I am dreading the traveling. But it will be wonderful to spend time with my friends and family! I miss them so very much! The boys are really excited that they will get to spend time with cousins especially. :)

I have some exciting news! I'm not sure how much I can share on here, so I will just say that some friends of ours are adopting 2 children, and are leaving very soon to go and get them and bring them home! I'm so very excited for them! The country they are adopting from requires 2 trips. They are both going the first trip, but he can't go with her the second trip due to work. So she has asked me to go with her to bring her precious little ones home!!! I am beyond thrilled, and so honored that she asked me to go with her! So, Lord willing, we will be leaving within the next few months.
I see God's hand moving everything into place. No, it's not as quick as I'd like. No, it's not the way I would do it. But I wouldn't want it any other way. His way is perfect! How amazing to be able to see my friend's adoption story first hand! To experience travel to another country and visit an orphanage, where there are so many little ones who need a family! To spend time with a parent of a special need's child, and learn all that I can! To be a blessing and to help in any way I can! WOW! Thank you Lord!

I will update on our trip as it gets closer and dates are set! And I will find out if I can share names so that you might pray for this family! I know that they would appreciate that!

I am so thankful for each of you who are keeping up with my family on here, and praying for us! God has blessed us with such wonderful friends and family! :)
